Parashah Sheets

One of the dilemmas that face us as Jewish educators is how to maintain interest among our students during Torah reading. Even with a triennial reading and a copy of the humash, Torah reading can feel like it is lasting forever for your average adolescent.

To help pull teenagers into the Torah reading, for the last several years, I have written and edited a series of parashah sheets for several regions of USY and now, the Schechter School of Long Island.. In addition to the Hebrew text and English translation, these sheets contain an age appropriate commentary that seeks to engage teens with the text, usually with a little humor.
